Aluminum sliding shutters, otherwise known as shutters, are a functional yet stylish feature of terraces. They can also function independently and be a decorative and, above all, useful part of buildings. Shutters are usually installed:

✦ on loggias.

The panels are constructed of lamellas, which, thanks to the possibility of adjusting their angle, provide control of sunlight. Shutters are characterized by modularity, which means that they can be grouped together and cover a larger area. The cascade system allows shutters to be installed in such a way that they slide in one direction, or symmetrically in both directions, hiding behind each other and letting in more light. This makes the space more accessible and still provides an intimate place to relax.

Shutters – price

The price of Shutters depends on the color, the number of panels ordered. The cost of Shutters starts from several thousand zlotys. The price consists of the cost of the panel/panels, the cost of the bottom and top rail and a possible surcharge for the woodgrain color. The more panels on one rail, the more favorably priced it comes out, because you pay only once for the rail and pay extra for more panels.

What material are shutters made of?

Shutters in Tarasol canopies are made of aluminum. This material is not only lightweight, but also resistant to corrosion and weathering, ensuring durability and easy maintenance. Aluminum also allows for precise manufacturing of the lamellas, which enables smooth control of the amount of light and ventilation inside the canopy.

Are the shutters rotated?

Yes, shutters in Tarasola canopies are rotatable. In addition, the shutters in Tarasola have a two-level adjustment, so that half of the shutters – the top or the bottom – can be adjusted independently. The laths can be adjusted at different angles, allowing you to precisely adjust the amount of light entering the interior and ensure optimal ventilation. The rotatable shutters increase the comfort of the terrace, allowing you to customize the conditions at any time of the day.

Do shutters protect against wind?

Yes, shutters mounted to the terraces provide protection from the wind. Thanks to their sturdy aluminum construction and adjustable slats, shutters reduce the penetration of wind gusts, which increases the comfort of being on the terrace even in windy weather. Their adjustment also allows you to set an appropriate angle, which further shields the space from drafts.

Do shutters protect against rain?

Tarasola Shutters offer protection from rain, but their main function is to regulate light and ventilation and protect against wind. Since the laths of shutters are adjustable, they can reduce the entry of fine precipitation under the canopy, but they do not provide full waterproofing. For effective protection from rain, full canopies or side panel systems combined with shutters will work better.

Are the shutters electrically controlled?

Shutters in our designs are not equipped with electrical automation. Adjustment of the slats is done manually, allowing the user to adjust the angle to suit his needs. This system, although manual, is designed to provide convenience and precision in adjusting the slats.

Can shutters be sliding?

Yes, in Tarasola’s offer shutters can also be available in a sliding version. Sliding shutters allow flexible space management, allowing you to easily open or close selected parts of the structure. This makes it possible to regulate airflow, light access and the degree of wind protection, which increases the functionality of the roofing.

What colors of shutters are available?

Tarasola Shutters are available in a wide range of colors to suit individual customer preferences. Standard colors include classic shades such as white, anthracite and gray, but it is also possible to make shutters in non-standard colors from the RAL palette and woodgrain colors. This makes it possible to perfectly match the appearance of the shutters with the style of the building and the environment.
